The third annual meeting of the Greenbelt Makerspace Cooperative will take place November 16 at 11am in the upstairs room at Mowatt Memorial United Methodist Church, 40 Ridge Rd. We request all members to attend in person. Our agenda will include reports on current activities, future activities, proposed changes to the Bylaws, election of board positions currently up for re-election, as well as all other items submitted in due order. If you have any items to include on the agenda, please send them to board@make125.org by Nov. 14.
The agenda is:
Changes to Bylaws
Nominations to Board of Directors
Overview of Programs
Volunteer opportunities
Budget Presentation and approval
Membership Drive
Fundraising efforts
Election of new Board members
If you wish to be nominated, or wish to nominate another member, for election to the board of directors, you may contact us in advance of the meeting for more information; email board@make125.org.
One proposed activity is to start a tool lending library out of a trailer or perhaps some indoor storage area. This can tie into the Repair Cafes, and have workshops on the use of the tools and various maker projects. We are actively seeking such a space if anyone can help. Currently the Makerspace equipment is stored in commercial storage, but the cost is not sustainable. New and renewal membership is $20/year. If you know of anyone who would like to become a member, please send them to the online signup page.
If you have any questions, email board@make125.org.
Sincerely,
Brett Fishburne
