The Greenbelt MakerSpace Cooperative is proud to host the fifth annual Greenbelt Spring Maker Festival, to be held April 14, 2018 at Roosevelt Center Plaza in Historic Greenbelt, Maryland.
We invite you to join us as a “maker,” to share your interests, skills, and projects with others in our community. A Maker is anyone who designs or creates stuff, anything from traditional arts and crafts to the latest electronic technology. Do you design jewelry, create cabinets, perform as a clown, cook chili, build robots, or write game programs? Come and share your passion with others.
It is super easy to get involved:
If you have an exhibit or presentation, that’s great! But your participation can be less formal too. You don’t need a finished project, show us what you’re working on. We can set you up with some simple table or floor space where you can meet the crowd. Consider it “Show and Tell.” It is that simple. Entries can be submitted by individuals as well as groups, schools, maker and hackerspaces, and companies. We particularly encourage exhibits that are interactive and highlight the process of making things.
Need more info? Please contact us online or stop by the MakerSpace.
PS. Please note, this event is mostly outdoors on the plaza at Roosevelt Center. Be prepared to dress warmly and have overhead protection available. Please let us know if you need to be under a shared tent, or if rain/snow/wind will cancel your participation.
