The Greenbelt MakerSpace, opened five years ago when husband-and-wife team George Boyce and Eva Fallon took over an abandoned dry-cleaning shop and transformed it into a STEAM-driven community space.
Ever since, the MakerSpace has offered a diverse calendar of events, meetups and workshops, from First Lego League– an annual kids’ robotics competition– to beer brewing to watercolors. We host the annual spring Mini Maker Faire, quarterly Repair Café, Friday game nights, and a Wednesday night knitting circle.
Join us on 12/1, from 6 PM to 8 PM, for our MakerSpace Holiday Open House. The Open House will begin just before the annual community tree lighting with Santa and continue into the evening. Come on down to Roosevelt Center for the festivities and drop in to learn more about the MakerSpace, create a unique ornament, and warm up with a cup of cider.
Locals and newcomers who have never heard of MakerSpace (125 Centerway) can come learn about what our activity center has to offer, and enjoy snacks and crafts as well.
Happy Holidays from the MakerSpace!
