We’re excited to add a special camp to construct a Rube Goldberg Machine, a contraption that does nothing useful but in a very complicated and convoluted manner. Each camper will have their own section to design and build with help from the entire team. Sections may be entirely mechanical or may contain electronic, robotic and computer controlled devices. On day one, the kids will brainstorm the purpose of the machine. The theme for this year will be trash and recycling.
As an example, there are many efficient designs to crush a can, and crushed cans save a lot of space making it easier for our community recycling team to haul them away. But a RGB implementation would be anything but efficient. It might even be faster to walk the can down to the recycling center.

PS Early Bird discount, saving you $100 on the registration fee, still applies to all camps until May 1.
