Sometimes we forget that we live in a metropolitan area of enormous size. The first map shows an area of about 700 sq miles, i.e. a 15 mile radius drawn from the Greenbelt MakerSpace. 2.3 million people live in that green circle. If we get in our pickup and drive for an hour, with careful planning and luck to avoid rush hour(s), bad weather, and traffic accidents, the blue shape below shows we can reach perhaps 9 million people. That’s one heck of a market for a mobile makerspace. I’m thinking we’ll need more than one if our pilot program is successful. Interested?
